New Corona Virus Precautions

PHR is initiating some new practices to increase the safety of our clients and those who work here due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). These will be in place until we hear directives from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) or other healthcare agencies it is safe to return to our usual practices. WE URGE YOU TO NOT COME IN FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT IF YOU ARE SICK.

  1. We ask that upon arriving for your appointment that you stay in your car, or in the event that you’re dropped off, wait outside. Your therapist will call you on your cellphone and will then meet you at the door to our suite. In the event you do not have a cellphone, please wait outside the suite and your therapist will come to see if you’re here. We hope to have a door bell up so that you can let someone at the reception area know you are here.
  2. If you are a new client, upon calling to set up your initial appointment, please print the appropriate intake forms (if you are able to do so) and bring them to your 1st appointment. Please bring your driver’s license and your current insurance card so your therapist can make copies of them. You may, if you wish, make such copies if you are able to do so (we need a copy of your card and not just the policy number in case the Insurance company disputes a claim).
  3. Efforts are underway to offer therapy sessions online for those folks who feel safer talking to their therapist remotely during this time. Also, some insurance companies are paying, for the time being given the challenges imposed by the virus, for over-the-phone therapy. Several insurance companies are already on board with this and we expect more to follow suit. If you have questions about whether your insurance covers this, please contact them.
  4. As has been the case for some time, you can make your payments/co-payments online, which we are asking people to do at this time to cut down on hand-to-hand credit card and cash transfer.

We do have seats in our waiting room for those accompanying clients to their appointment, although these are fewer in number now and are spaced at a greater distance. Precautions are being taken through often-touched surfaces to be cleaned much more often.

We at PHR are sorry for inconveniences imposed by these changes in practice for the time being. Our receptionists and therapists will be letting you know if any other changes that may occur and will try to answer questions that you have. Most importantly, stay safe, and we look forward to continuing to serve you.
